How DDP shipping from China to Europe works

DDP on the China–Europe lane

Under DDP we deliver from your Chinese supplier to your address in the European Union with the import side fully handled: EU customs declaration, import VAT and duty are arranged and paid by us. You approve one landed figure and the cargo arrives without additional charges at the border.

It is the opposite of DDU, where the goods reach the EU port or airport and the import declaration and taxes fall to you or your customs agent.

How a typical shipment runs

Do you need an EORI number?

Under DDP, no — the import is declared through our own registration, so you do not need an EU EORI to receive the goods. If your accounting requires the import to be under your own EORI and VAT number, we can arrange the shipment on DDU terms so your agent declares the entry.

What changes per country

The EU customs framework is common, but ports, inland costs and last-mile networks differ between member states. Northern European ports, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Spain are all lanes we run regularly — tell us the delivery postcode and we will quote that specific lane.

Preparing your request

The fastest quotes come with: commodity description, weight and volume (or cartons with dimensions), pickup city, destination address with postcode, and your ready date. Request a quote and we will reply with a landed cost and the fastest realistic option.

Shipping cargo from China on this lane? Send us your cargo details and we will come back with a landed cost under DDP or DDU terms. Rates and transit times are quoted per shipment — they depend on route, season and cargo.
